CNPCE Community Health Center
A community health center is planned within the CNP Children Embassy in Haut-Katanga, DRC, on a 0.5-hectare site near the orphanage. It will provide integrated primary care, pediatrics, maternity services, vaccination, and community outreach to orphans, vulnerable children, pregnant women, and local families, reducing barriers to urban hospitals. The facility will include a main building with exam rooms, a pediatric ward, maternity/delivery room, infirmary, pharmacy, and administrative spaces, staffed by a general practitioner, nurses, a midwife, and a community health worker. Access for CNP children is prioritized, with services also open to the surrounding community and coordinated with local health authorities. Key partners include the Ministry of Health, medical NGOs, churches, and donors. Expected impacts: better child and maternal health, lower incidence of preventable diseases, improved local access to care, and stronger trust in CNP. Sustainability relies on integration with Foyer CNP and ongoing partner support.
